There are hard times being a mom. Parenting little ones is tiring work.
What keeps it all going is prayer and the encouraging words of my husband (who is amazing!).
Also, seeing progress is very helpful.
Luke is amazing in church now. We rarely need to correct/discipline him during the service. He is getting better at singing along and he always prays when we pray. He listens very well to the sermons without toys, books, or drawing. This is great to see and reminder that Claire and John will get there one day too.
Also, during the hard stretches in parenting, it is so nice to know that you have done this before and the child has stopped many of the past problems. This is great when the next child comes along and starts doing those same things. If I step back and think for a minute then I can remember that this too shall pass if I believe the Bible and love/discipline the child.
I'm thankful that my children:
- are so polite to each other and others
- encourage each other
- compliment other people
- are very hospitable
- love their daddy (i love him too!)
