"preetec me?"

"Preetec me?" The sweet question from Claire most every night and other times during the day.

We are teaching our children that boys/men protect girls/ladies/women. Luke knows it and Claire knows it.

If Claire get scared she will say "daddy preetec me?" and assure her he does and will. She also says/asks "Luke preetec me?" and we tell her he does too.

We were reading "The Silver Chair" the other day and Claire saw Puddleglum, Eustace and Rilian fighting the serpent and Jill watching. So Claire asked if Puddleglum protects her. I told her he would if necessary. She asked why. I told her because gentlemen protect ladies and she is a little lady. Now she says "Puddleglum preetec me, little lady".

I love my sweet, innocent, carefree, playful daughter. I pray she always remands this way living in the security of her father and brothers until the day she lives in the security of her husband.

thankful for:
- boys who want to protect
- a girl who wants to be protected
